NISAU UK is the apex UK organisation representing students, alumni and young professionals of Indian origin. We are your Home Away From Home; and work passionately towards our goal of ensuring that there is a student safety net for all international Indian students in the UK. From running a multi-year long campaign to bring the Post Study Work Visa to the UK; 360 support to thousands during the Covid pandemic and even supporting Indian students trapped in the Ukraine war, NISAU volunteers painstakingly work towards the welfare of the Indian student and alumni community.

The definitive reason for our existence is to represent you, the UK's young Indian diaspora. We are a unity project, an international platform, and an advisory council all in oneWe are an umbrella organisation for India and India-related student societies in the UK and aim to bring a unified voice of India's diaspora youth, on a single, international platform, promote Indian culture and further the UK-India relationship by fostering a dynamic youth-led leadership ecosystem.

We are multi-award winning, and our work has been recognised by various forums including most recently with us winning the 'Best Student Support' award and our Chairperson Sanam Arora picking up the 'Outstanding Contribution to the Industry' award at the prestigious PIEoneer International Higher Education awards. We also came up highly commended for 'Association of the Year'.

We support peace and prosperity by building connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and countries worldwide.

We work directly with individuals to help them gain the skills, confidence and connections to transform their lives and shape a better world in partnership with the UK. We support them to build networks and explore creative ideas, to learn English, to get a high-quality education and to gain internationally recognised qualifications.

India/UK Together, a Season of Culture is a year-long celebration of the long-standing relationship between India and the UK. Marking India’s 75th anniversary, the Season of Culture will see a vast programme of creative collaboration, education and cultural exchange take place online, and in cities across both countries. Working with a number of partners and institutions in the field of Arts, Education and English, the British Council is bringing forth a programme of cultural activity which will bring together people in both countries, raise awareness around key real-world issues, and strengthen and celebrate the UK and India’s educational and cultural ties.
