In the below rules given, ‘National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK’ will be referred to as NISAU or NISAUUK.
The term ‘Applicants’ in the following section may refer to the actual nominee, organisation or the individual filing the nomination.

India UK Achievers Honours applicants must:
Provide personal information that is in all respects true, accurate, and up to date and is not, in any respect, misleading, deceptive, inaccurate, or likely to mislead or deceive.
Notify NISAU immediately of any relevant changes in their application at any stage during the application process. It is the responsibility of the applicant to inform NISAU of any changes, failure to do so can result in the application being withdrawn.
Applicants may be required to re-confirm the accuracy of their application should they be selected as an Achiever.
Achievers may be asked to record a small video.
If you do not provide the nominee’s personal data, the NISAU will be unable to process the application. Your submission will automatically be withdrawn.
The Achievers programme will be promoted through the NISAU’s official channels, including the website
www.nisau.org.uk and partner party channels e.g., British Council, UK universities and others. Paper applications will not be accepted. All applicants must access the application portal link and then follow the steps on the website
www.achieversshowcase.com.
Applicants can save their application and complete it later; however, they must submit it before the application deadline.
Applicants’ data may be shared and verified with the applicant’s UK Higher Education Institution as well as other educational authorities in the UK and overseas. The NISAU reserves the right to independently check all information provided by applicants. Should the applicant be found to have submitted false information, and/or have provided falsified information in support of their application, the applicant may be disqualified from the Achievers Honours. Any titles already awarded may be removed from the applicant during or after the Achievers Honours.
NISAU reserves the right to withdraw an Achievers’ story should it pose a potential reputational risk due to negative publicity, public perception, or uncontrollable events.
NISAU reserves all rights in respect of the decision to make or withdraw an award at any point. The NISAU can exercise its discretion in the decision to make or withdraw any awards. The NISAU’s decision is final and binding.
The National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK (“NISAU”) complies with UK data protection law and data protection laws in other countries that promote data protection best practices.
The personal information provided by applicants will be used by NISAU to manage the India UK Achievers Honours and may be used for other purposes deemed necessary by the NISAU. The information will be used by the NISAU and/or judges to assess the applications in line with the judging criteria.
The legal basis for processing personal data is that processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (the Competition Terms and Conditions).
All applications may be shared with the applicant’s former or current UK university/ies, and organisations such as but not limited to English language testing companies, educational counsellors etc. The NISAU may also share personal information with trusted third parties, including any external shortlisting agencies, reference-checking agencies, and applicants’ former scholarship awarding bodies, when necessary to fulfil the purposes stated above. The information that NISAU holds/shares about you will be treated as confidential. They will only be disclosed to any other party but not limited to your former UK university/ies, scholarship awarding bodies, administrative shortlisting, judging panels:
1. The India UK Achievers Honours
The India UK Achievers Honours (the “Achievers Honours”) are operated by or on behalf of the NISAU UK to recognise and honour the outstanding achievements made by current students or alumni who have studied at or for a qualification awarded by a listed or registered UK Higher Education Institution.
Applicants submit one application which will be considered for the Achievers Honours.
The Achievers are expected to be celebrated at a Gala Ceremony. This is expected to be followed by a multi month digital campaign. There are the following award categories:
